HOW IT HAPPENED

- Game one

- Both teams stranded two baserunners in the first inning with three hits combined.

- The Blazers left another runner on base after Whitney Jemison started the second inning off with a leadoff single.

- Louisiana College broke through in the bottom of the second with one run off an RBI groundout.

- Belhaven was held to just two hits in total through the first four innings of action.

- Despite its lack of offensive productivity early on, the Blazers' defense and strong pitching from Jordan Herring kept them in the contest.

- However, the Wildcats would add another run in the bottom of the fourth on a two-out RBI single to left center for a 2-0 lead.

- LC used multiple stolen bases followed by an RBI single to increase their lead out to 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth.

- Later on in the inning, the Wildcats stacked up the bases, but BU managed to get out of the inning without giving up any additional runs.

- Anna Peyton Montessi was hit by a pitch in the sixth, which ended a streak of 14 consecutive batters retired to give the Blazers a baserunner, but the Green and Gold came up empty in the inning.

- LC scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to clinch the victory in six innings.

- Game two

- The Wildcats got off to another fast start in the series finale.

- LC scored four runs in the inning on two RBI singles and two throwing errors.

- Belhaven once again struggled to gain any momentum offensively at the plate, and was held hitless through the first three innings of play.

- Louisiana College would add six more runs in the bottom of the third on seven consecutive hits to open up the game at 10-0.

- The Blazers eventually got out of the inning, but found themselves trailing 12-0.

- Kaitlyn Blubaugh tacked on the first hit of the contest for the Blazers in the top of the fourth.

- With two more runs in the bottom of the fourth, the lead increased to 14-0.
