CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas. - The Belhaven University baseball team was swept by the Ozarks in a doubleheader matchup Friday afternoon falling 15-1 in game one and 10-8 in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Game one
- The Eagles put together a three run bottom of the first inning with the help of two errors to take a quick 3-0 lead.
- Breyden Varner hit a three run home run over the right center field wall in the bottom of the second inning to extend the Ozarks lead to 6-0.
- Another home run in the fourth inning for the eagles paved the way for a four spot on the scoreboard to push the lead to 10-0.Â
- Belhaven got one more run back in the fifth inning when Trip Benson scored off of a single through the left side of the field from Reed Bolton. Belhaven cut the lead to 10-1.Â
- The Ozarks scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, including a three run homer off of the bat of Josh Wooley to go ahead 15-1. The Eagles went on to claim game one by a final of 15-1.
- Game two
- Belhaven jumped out to a quick 1-0 advantage in the top of the first inning after Will Costinett singled up the middle, scoring Reed Bolton.
- The Eagles quickly bounced back in the bottom half of the first inning when Patrick Clifford hit a three run home run to right field to give the Ozarks a 3-1 lead.
- The Blazers answered in the third inning, scoring two runs by the help of a single from Kreg Garner and later a fielding error that allowed a run to cross. Belhaven even the score up at 3-3 after three innings.Â
- The green and gold continued to swing the bat effectively as Reed Bolton doubled to left field, scoring Evan Moore. Bolton later scored on a wild pitch. Kreg Garner smashed his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot to extend the Blazers lead to 6-3.
- In the same inning, Trip Benson hit a two run home run to left field. At the end of four Belhaven led 8-3.
- Josh Woolly flew out to centerfield, scoring a run from third to cut the lead to 8-4.
- Breyden Varner hit a solo home run to right field to bring the Eagles with three runs, 8-5.Â
- Two more runs crossed the plate in the seventh inning for the Ozarks, tying the game up at 8-8.
- The eighth inning ended up being a critical inning as the Ozarks took control of the game with two runs across the board by way of a sacrifice fly and a single from Sam Swartz. The Ozarks led 10-8 after eight innings and ultimately went on to claim game two 10-8.

- Game one
- Colton Fontana and Evan Moore each went 2-for-2 at the plate in the contest.Â
- Reed Bolton had the lone run batted in as he finished 1-for-3 with an RBI.Â

- Will Costinett registered one hit, one run scored, and an RBI while Evan Moore finished with two hits in four at bats, scoring one run in the game.
- Belhaven had eleven hits total as a team.
