CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas. - The Belhaven University baseball team turned the page on its 2018 season Saturday afternoon after falling to the University of the Ozarks in a thrilling eleven inning ball game by a final score of 7-6. In their final game as a Belhaven Blazer, five seniors collected a hit, totaling nine hits out of twelve in the contest.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blazers got off to a quick start in the second inning with a single to right field from senior first baseman Kreg Garner. Garner later scored on a single to left from Trip Benson, giving the Blazers a quick 1-0 lead.
- The Ozarks Patrick Clifford tied the game up at 1-1 with a home run to left field in the bottom of the third inning.Â
- Will Costinett continued to shower long balls in his final game in a green and gold jersey, smashing his eleventh home run of the season to right field to put Belhaven back on top 2-1.
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Ozarks answered once again with a two run slate to take the lead, 3-2. The Ozarks added another run in the fifth inning and led 4-2 after five.Â
- Down 4-2, Kreg Garner crushed home run number two of the series over right field to cut the Eagles lead down to 4-3 in the seventh inning. Hunter Harsh flew out to centerfield, scoring Antoine Watts from third to even the score at 4-4.
- Bryce Elder broke the 4-4 tie with a single up the middle, scoring two runs to give the Eagles a 6-4 lead advantage after seven.
- With bases juiced in the eighth inning, Trip Benson beat out a grounder to short with two outs, scoring one run to bring the Blazers back within one run, 6-5.
- The very next at bat, Justin Acevedo sent one through the left side of the infield, scoring Will Costinett from third to tie the game up at 6-6.
- It took extra innings to decide the outcome of this thrilling game, however in the bottom of the eleventh inning with a runner at third, the Ozarks singled up the middle to bring in the game winning run, 7-6.

KEY STATISTICS
- Will Costinett homered for the eleventh time on the season, finishing 8th all time in Belhaven history with twenty-two career home runs. The senior was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a home run and an RBI.
- Kreg Garner hit is sixth home run of the season. The senior closed out his career going 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI.
- Senior Colton Fontana finished 2-for-4 at the plate.
- Trip Benson was 2-for-5 with a team high two runs batted in.
- Senior Hunter Harsh collected a multi-hit game going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Senior Antoine Watts was 1-for-4 with a run scored. He also robbed a home run in the fifth inning, climbing the fence to take one away from the Eagles.
