HOW IT HAPPENED

- Game one

- The Blazers got off to a sluggish start offensively, and were held scoreless through the first three innings of the contest.

- The Wolves added the first run of the game in the bottom half of the third off of a double that was hit off the left field wall.

- Belhaven tried to get a rally started in the top of the fourth after Makayla Reed drew a leadoff walk. However, the Blazers were unable to get anything going as they had just one hit through the first four innings of play.

- While Jordan Herring and the Belhaven defense kept the Wolves' offense out of sync, the Blazers' bats continued to stay cold through the first five innings of play.

- Meg Garton started things off in the top of the sixth with a leadoff walk.

- Reed's sacrifice bunt advanced Garton to second with just one out.

-  Once again, the Blazers came up empty and stranded a baserunner.

- In the seventh, the Green and Gold were down to their final three outs.

- BU had two baserunners on in Toni Wilson who reached on a fielder's choice and Cassidy Comstock who singled up the middle with one out.

- Brittany Chetta was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

- Kaitlyn Blubaugh connected on a sacrifice fly out to score Mariah Sosa from third to tie the game at 1-1.

- Garton's clutch single up the middle allowed Comstock to cross the plate for a 2-1 lead.

- Wesleyan had two runners on first and third in the bottom of the seventh, but the Blazers prevailed and got out of the jam.

- Game two
- In game two, Belhaven took care of business right from the start.

- A triple to the right field wall from Cassidy Blount scored Meg Garton for a 1-0 lead in the first.

- Belhaven added another run off of an error to increase the lead up to 2-0.

- The Blazers did a good job of continuing to get hits and find ways to get on base as they extended their lead out to 4-0.

- The Green and Gold defense played flawlessly in the field and turned a 6-4-3 double play in the bottom of the third, followed by a diving catch in centerfield from Whitney Jemison.

- The Blazers scored four runs in the fourth to take a big lead.

- Meg Garton's single to center scored Brianna Dollar for a 5-0 advantage in the fourth.

- Later on in the inning, Kaitlyn Blubaugh scored, followed by an RBI single from Cassidy Blount as the Blazers held a commanding 7-0 lead.

- Marlee Blackwell slapped a ball out to left center to score Blount from first for an 8-0 lead.
