HOW IT HAPPENED

- From the very beginning, Belhaven and Louisiana College came out swinging at each other as the two teams traded the lead eight times within the first ten minutes of the first half.

- With 10:45 remaining in the first half, Louisiana College looked to be the team in control as they held an 8-point lead, 30-22, yet Belhaven would drain back to back threes from Rick Hodum and Justin Jones to close the gap to 30-28.

- Once again, LC held a 9-point lead with just over two minutes in the half, yet the Blazers would capitalize on a three-pointer and a pair of field goals to cut the LC lead to 52-50.

- At the half, Louisiana College would hold a 55-53 lead over Belhaven.

- It did not take long for the green and gold to gain some momentum in the second half as the Blazers would find themselves leading 72-64 with 14:15 in the game.

- Belhaven would hold their 8-point lead up until the 10:42 mark when Louisiana College would gain some momentum and begin chipping away Belhavens lead. With 6:35 left, LC would use a Jaquez Coleman layup to take the lead, 86-83.

- The final six minutes would be a battle to the finish line for both teams. Belhaven looked to be in control with just under two minutes in the game, as the green and gold held a 97-95 lead,  however, the Wildcats would capitalize off of a turnover and pair of free throws and ultimately close out the game by defeating the Blazers 102-97.
