JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven baseball team fell to the Millsaps Majors Tuesday night by a final score of 11-2 in game one of the Cowboy Maloney series between the cross town rivals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Majors struck first with two runs in the bottom half of the first inning to take the quick 2-0 lead.
- With the bases juiced in the top of the third inning, senior Kreg Garner delivered a two out single that brought two runners across the plate to tie the game at 2-2.
- Millsaps struck two more times in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring on a fielding error and later a balk, giving the Majors a 4-2 lead.
- Breenan Ducote pushed the Majors lead to 6-2 with a one out double in the bottom of the sixth inning.
- In the bottom of the seventh, a pair of wild pitches allowed the Majors to cross two more runs across the plate, extending its lead to 8-2.
- The eighth inning saw the Majors score three more runs. Millsaps would go on to win the contest by a final of 11-2.

KEY STATISTICS
- Catcher Kreg Garner finished 1-3 in the game with two RBIs.
- Antoine Watts, who has been a spark for the offense lately, finished 2-3 with a double.
- Third Baseman Trip Benson collected one hit and crossed the plate once for the green and gold.
