HOW IT HAPPENED

- Game one

- Mary-Hardin Baylor scored all four of their runs in the game in the top of the first.

- The Cru scored the first run on a bases loaded walk, followed by back-to-back fielder's choices, and then a sacrifice fly to lead 4-0.

- BU struggled to get consistent runners on base throughout the game.

- Belhaven's best chance to make a comeback came in the fifth inning.

- Evan Moore and Colton Fontana both reached on back-to-back singles.

- Gasper D'Anna would draw a walk to load up the bases.

- Belhaven's only run of the contest came in the bottom half of the fifth off of a fielder's choice from Hunter Harsh scoring Evan Moore from third base.

- However, Belhaven would strand three runners on base to end the inning.

- The Blazers were limited to just four hits in the game, and stranded five runners on base.

- Game two

- It was a pitcher's duel early on in game two as Tyler Wolfe was on the mound for the Green and Gold.

- Both teams were held scoreless in the first four innings of play.

- The Cru got on the board in the top of the fifth on back-to-back RBI singles out to center field for a 2-0 advantage.

- Belhaven would close the lead in half in the bottom of the fifth by scoring one run off of a Will Costinett fielder's choice. Hunter Harsh crossed the plate to make it a 2-1 contest.

- UMHB scored two more runs in the sixth off of a two-RBI single to right field.

- The Cru would score once again in the seventh on a sacrifice squeeze bunt to make it a 5-1 ball game.

- The Blazers had a great opportunity in the bottom of the seventh to close down on the lead, but were unable to bring anybody home.

- Mary-Hardin Baylor collected two more runs of insurance in the eighth and ninth innings.

- Belhaven stranded nine runners on the base path at the conclusion of the game.
