JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven men's tennis team fell 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Millsaps College in non-conference action.
 
With the loss, the Blazers now slip to 1-1 on the year. The Green and Gold won their first match of the season last week at home to Blue Mountain College, 8-1.
 
Mauricio Gonzalez and Joan Soler fell at the No. 1 doubles position 8-4. The Blazers fell in both No. 2 and No.3 doubles by a score of 8-2 and 8-3. Tracy Hilaire and Yves Ikuno played in the second slot, while Travous Wilson and Owen Taylor in the third doubles position.
 
In singles play, Soler fell at the No. 1 position 6-3, 6-2. Hilaire fell at the No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Gonzalez faltered at No. 4 singles.
 
Yves Ikuno dropped No. 5 singles 6-4, 6-1and Owen Taylor was defeated 6-1, 6-1.
 
The Blazers will return to the courts next tomorrow February 16^th at 3:00 p.m. going against Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
