HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Belhaven Blazers and the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys played stellar defense through the first half of play, limiting each other to no goals heading into the break.
- The Cowboys outshot the green and gold 2-0 in the first half.
- Belhaven picked up the pace in the second half, getting four total shots as a team, two from Alex Hale, yet the Blazers could not muster up any goals.
- At the end of 90 minutes of play, both teams were knotted up at 0-0.
- After holding each other scoreless for 90 minutes, it took all but twenty-seven seconds for the Cowboys to break the tie with a goal to win 1-0 over Belhaven.
