Blazers Net Season-High Three Goals to Defeat MUW

JACKSON, Miss.– The Belhaven University men's soccer team cruised to a 3-1 win over Mississippi University for Women Owls Wednesday evening inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium in non-conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Alex Hale got things started for the Blazers, scoring a goal on a bicycle kick in the 22ndminute of the match. Nathan Ratzlaff assisted Hale's goal.

- Alex Hale found the back of the net again for the Blazers in the 33rdminute to make it 2-0 in favor of Belhaven. 

- The Green and Gold went into the halftime break leading 2-0.

- In the 68thminute of play, Max Maguire scored his second goal of the season to give the Blazers a 3-0 advantage over the Owls.

- Lalesh Hadji earned the assist on Maguire's goal.

- During the next possession, MUW quickly found the back of the net to make the score 3-1.

- The Blazers held on to pick up the 3-1 victory over the Mississippi University for Women Owls.
