JACKSON, Miss - The Belhaven University football team faltered to McMurry University at home on Saturday afternoon at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium in American Southwest Conference play.
With the loss, the Blazers slip to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in ASC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first quarter, the Blazers marched down the field on a 12-play 89-yard drive to take a 7-0 lead.
- The drive was capped off by a five yard touchdown run by Brad Foley.
- Later on in the quarter the Blazers turned the ball over on a fumble inside of their own thirty-five yard line.
- The Warhawks took advantage of the miscue, scoring on a five play 35-yard drive.
- The extra point was blocked, so the Blazers remained ahead 7-6.
- On the Warhawks next possession, they took little time to drive downfield as two plays later they took the lead 13-7.
- McMurry led 13-7 at halftime.
- In the second half, the Blazers orchestrated a perfect four play 43-yard drive as the green and gold regained the lead 14-13.
- Hunter McEachern connected with Joey Walden for a 13-yard touchdown.
- On the ensuing possession the Warhawks flew down the field on a quick four play drive, after scoring on a 54-yard touchdown pass.
- Heading into the fourth, the Blazers trailed once again 20-14. A 23-yard touchdown pass propelled the Warhawks' lead out to 27-14.
- Belhaven had multiple opportunities to capitalize after slicing the lead down to one possession on a quick nine play 80-yard drive to make the score 27-20.
- McEachern tossed another touchdown pass to LaMarcus Caradine from 12 yards out.
- The Blazers had one last opportunity to even the score with 10 seconds left, but ultimately fell short 27-20.

- Hunter McEachern completed 28-41 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns.
- Brad Foley led the ground attack with 10 rushed for 47 yards and one touchdown.
- The Blazers in total rushed for 115 yards on the ground.
- Joey Walden eclipsed the century mark in receiving with 10 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown.
- Fabien Williams collected four catches for 97 yards.
- The green and gold finished with 451 yards of total offense, a season high.
- David Hudson, Justin Percy, and Denarrius Noel all finished with six tackles a piece.
