HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blazer defense faced multiple shots early on from Sul Ross State, as the Lobos were able to find the net with a goal in the first eight minutes of the contest to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Lobos took a 2-0 lead with another goal in the 26th minute of play.
- Sul Ross added one more goal just a few seconds before the half to take a 3-0 advantage into the break.
- Belhaven was outshot 11-4 in the first half of play.
- After the break, Sul Ross State added to their lead with a 57th minute goal, increasing the Lobo lead to 4-0. Five minutes late, the Lobos found the net for the fifth time in the contest.
- Belhaven's Erica Rempel put the Blazers on the board with a 70th minute goal to pull the Blazers within a 5-1 score.
- Belhaven was unable to find the net for the remainder of the game, falling 5-1.
