Blazers Unable to Hold Back Tigers

JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven University women's soccer team suffered a 7-0 defeat to American Southwest opponent East Texas Baptist University on Thursday evening inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Blazers could not find the back of the net during the contest.

- ETBU got the scoring started in the 27th minute to make the score 1-0.

- Just a few minutes later, Brianna Mickshaw netted her second goal of the match to take the 2-0 advantage over the Blazers.

- In the 33rd minute, a header goal by Ashleigh Rondon extended the Tigers lead to 3-0.

- The score remained the same going into the halftime break.

- ETBU kept putting up shots and found the back of the net in the 47th minute to make the score 4-0.

- The Tigers added three more goals in the match and would claim the 7-0 victory over the Blazers.
