HOW IT HAPPENED

Lauren Brooks scored the first basket of the game off of an assist from
Kelsey Brown.
- The Tornados took the lead off of a three-point basket by Raven Cato.
- With 4:15 remaining in the first quarter,
AaLiyaha Thornton got fouled from behind the arc and made all three free throws to take a 10-6 advantage.
- With 2:18 left in the first quarter, the Tornados tied the ballgame up at 10 apiece.
- The Blazers began to get hot and went on a 6-0 run to close out the first quarter to lead 16-10.
- To open the second quarter, the blazers and tornados went back and forth with the Green and Gold taking the 21-20 advantage with 4:49 remaining until intermission.
- The Tornados went on a 9-2 run to bring the score to 29-23 with 1:11 remaining until halftime.
- The Blazers finished the first half strong going on a 6-0 run to tie the game 29-29 to go into halftime.
- Belhaven hit 3 three-pointers to start the third quarter and take a 45-37 lead.
- The Tornados would close the third quarter on a 9-0 run. Concordia took the slight advantage to go into the final frame.
- The Green and Gold regained the lead after
AaLiyaha Thornton drained a three-point basket to make the score 52-51.
- The Blazers pushed ahead 58-53 and kept the lead the rest of the game.
- With 20 seconds remaining in the game, the Blazers had a one-point advantage.
- The Green and Gold would hold their ground and pick up an 62-59 victory over the Tornados.
