HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a fast paced offensive contest in the early stages. Both teams were shooting over 40 percent and the Tigers led 23-18 midway through the first half.
- ETBU was on fire from long range and connected on back to back triples to push their advantage back out to 10 at 31-21.
- Belhaven's offense continued to flourish, but the Blazers had trouble coming up with consistent defensive stops. Â
- Despite shooting 46 percent from the field in the first half, the Tigers closed the half on a strong run and held a 64-46 advantage at the break.
- ETBU began the second half on an 11-5 run and pushed their lead out to 24 at 75-51.
- The Blazers composed an impressive 19-10 run to shore the gap down to 14 at 85-71.
- Belhaven continued to chip in on the lead by drawing foul and knocking down free throws.
- However, the Tigers would not allow Belhaven to cut the lead any closer and pulled away late to push their advantage back to 20 points.

KEY STATISTICS
- Rick Hodum led the Blazers in scoring with 16 points. Hodum connected on 12-14 free throw attempts and also brought in six rebounds.
- Terik Richardson notched 14 points in just 19 minutes of action on 5-9 shooting from the floor. Richardson drilled three three-point field goals.
- Isiah Brown scored 11 points and Brent Webber collected 10 points respectively.
- Belhaven added 41 bench points and scored 28 points inside the paint. The Green and Gold forced 11 turnovers and scored nine points off of those turnovers.
- The Blazers also added eight fast break points and 10 second chance points.
- As a team, Belhaven shot 34 percent from the field and converted on 34-48 free throw attempts.
- East Texas Baptist shot 57 percent from the floor and knocked down 12 three-point field goals.
