HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a slow and sloppy start for both teams, as UT Tyler and Belhaven combined for 2-17 shooting from the field and six turnovers in the first five minutes of action.
- The Patriots knocked down three three-point field goals in the remainder of the quarter and held a double digit lead of 14-3 after the first.
- Belhaven continued to shoot poorly from the field in the second quarter.
- The lead increased for UT Tyler as they hit seven total three-point field goals in the first half.
- Shooting just 12 percent from the floor in the first half, Belhaven trailed 30-13 at the break.
- Belhaven struggled again in the second half as they suffered from missed jump shots and turnovers.
