HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Blazers fell behind early in the first four minutes of play, trailing 13-3.

- Belhaven's offense began to quickly connect and flow, but the defense was unable to contain the Patriots' offensive attack.

- Later on in the first half, Belhaven trailed 36-21, and were looking to find a spark to cut the deficit back before halftime.

- Led by back-to-back three pointers from Joshua Roberts, the Green and Gold went on a fast 10-2 run to close the lead down to seven at 38-31.

- However, the Blazers' defense did not have an answer for UT Tyler's potent attack, and trailed 53-41 at halftime.

- Belhaven kept themselves within striking distance early on in the second half, but another 12-5 run from the Patriots pushed the lead back out to a dozen at 65-53.

- After Isiah Brown and John Works converted on long range treys, the Blazers got back within 10 at 81-71 with under eight minutes left.

- A 14-3 run from the Patriots preserved the victory late in the contest.

- Belhaven was able to find ways to score by attacking the basket and hitting shots from behind the arc, but the defense was unable to consistently make enough stops to threaten UT Tyler.
