Pineville, La. – The Belhaven men's soccer team lost its first American Southwest Conference match Saturday evening by the score of 2-0.
Jay Pinto of Louisiana College scored in the 39
th minute of play to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
Ian Carter of Louisiana College found the back of the net in the 86
th minute to give Louisiana College a 2-0 advantage over the Green and Gold.
Offensively the Blazers could not find the back of the net but managed to fire 18 shots with eight on goal while the Wildcats had five shots with four of them being on goal.
Somto Ngwudike led the way for the Blazers with four shots while
Kobe Van Someren had three shots in the contest.

Bailey Hart added two saves in the match.
Louisiana College improves to 1-3 while the Green and Gold fall to 0-3-3 and 0-1 in ASC play.
The Blazers will return to action against the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
