CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Belhaven men's tennis team faltered at Campbellsville on Wednesday morning, 5-0, in the finals of the Mideast NCCAA Regional. The Blazers' 2017 season officially comes to a close with the loss. The Green and Gold end the year with an overall record of 12-8.
Belhaven was swept in doubles play, and were unable to shift the momentum in singles action, as the Tigers took two matches to clinch the victory.Â
Rene Ramos and
Joan Soler were blanked at the No. 1 spot, 8-0.
Travous Wilson and
Dylan Throgmorton were also swept 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Ivan Alberto Kerkoc and
Sebastian Barrientos dropped No. 3 doubles after a tough 8-5 loss.Â
Soler fell at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-1, along with
Devonte Thomas at the fourth spot, who lost a 6-1, 6-0 decision.Â
Ramos, Kerkoc, Barrientos, and
Owen Taylor's singles matches all went officially as unfinished.Â
