JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven men's tennis team dominated Tougaloo 9-0 Friday afternoon at home in non-conference play. The Blazers improve to 6-5 on the season with the victory. It is the second time this season that Belhaven has swept an opponent 9-0.
Ivan Alberto Kerkoc and
Sebastian Barrientos won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, while
Dylan Throgmorton and
Rajit Rohaan won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Tedric Jones and
Yann Kaufman also cruised to an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Joan Soler won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to get things going for the Green and Gold. Kerkoc also rolled to an easy 6-0, 6-1 win.
Devonte Thomas won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, and Barrientos won 8-0.
Owen Taylor also won handedly at No.5 singles, by a score of 8-1.
Grant Matherne clinched the match for Belhaven at No. 6 singles winning in dominating fashion 6-1, 6-0.
Belhaven will take on Rust College next Tuesday at 3 p.m.
