TYLER, TEXAS - Belhaven men's basketball fell to the University of Texas-Tyler Patriots, 104-66, Thursday night inside the Herrington Patriot Center. 
All five Belhaven (4-18) starters scored in double figures, led by junior forward 
Brandon Pressley's 12 points. 
Rick Hodum, 
Ron Davis and 
Brent Webber added 11 points each while 
DJ Young-Beasley chipped in with 10 points. Davis also recorded a team-high five rebounds and season-high four steals. 
The Blazers three-point shooting kept them in the game in the first half. In the first five minutes of the game, Hodum knocked down two shots from downtown while Davis and Young-Beasley made a three-pointer each as the Green and Gold took a 16-13 lead over the Patriots. 
With 5:56 to play in the first half, Webber drilled his second three of the game to make the score 33-29 in favor of Texas-Tyler. But the Patriots would end the half on a 21-9 run to take a 15-point advantage into the halftime break. 
Belhaven went 7-of-17 from beyond the arc in the first half, but failed to make a single three-pointer in the entire second half. The Blazers started the second half slowly, making just six of their first 19 shot attempts. Meanwhile, the Patriots knocked down their first 13 attempts of the half, pushing their lead up to 35.
Texas-Tyler (15-8) finished the game shooting 62 percent from the field and 36 percent from the three-point line. Skyler Hadden paced the Patriots with 17 points while Jordan Francis tallied 16 points. Josh Tatum dished out a team-high 12 assists.
Next up, the Green and Gold travel to Longview, Texas to face LeTourneau University on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m.
