JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven men's basketball fell to the East Texas Baptist Tigers, 85-60, Thursday evening inside Rugg Arena.
Junior forward
Brandon Pressley paced the Blazers with 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting. Sophomore guard
Brent Webber added nine points and a season-high six rebounds while junior point guard
Ron Davis dished out a game-high eight assists.
Belhaven (4-20) finished the game shooting 35 percent from the field and 29 percent from behind the three-point line.
East Texas Baptist (15-10) made 12 shots from beyond the arc and outrebounded the Blazers 47-33. The Tigers tallied 15 offensive rebounds, leading to 16 second chance points.
Dylan Augustine led ETBU with 20 points, 18 of which came in the first half, and drained five three-pointers in nine attempts. Jordan Gosey and Landin Brown added 12 points each.
Belhaven wraps up the 2016-17 season on Saturday, hosting Louisiana College at 3 p.m. The Blazers will honor senior forward
DJ Young-Beasley in a ceremony proceeding the conclusion of the women's game.
