JACKSON, Miss. –  Belhaven's men's tennis fell in their first match of the season to Mobile in non-conference play Friday afternoon at Parham Bridges. The Rams defeated the Blazers 8-1. 

All three Belhaven doubles teams came up short, which had the Blazers trailing 3-0 heading into singles action. Belhaven also struggled in singles play, as Rene Ramos posted the only win of the day for Belhaven. Ramos defeated J. Ahumada 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 1 singles slot. 

The Green and Gold will return to action next Friday, Feb. 17. The Blazers will take on Rhodes College in Memphis at 4 pm.
