JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven men's basketball team returns to their home court of Rugg Arena this week, hosting the University of the Ozarks on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. before taking on the University of Texas at Dallas at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Belhaven (3-16) plays a rare back-to-back against the same opponent when they face the Ozarks on Thursday. The Blazers just defeated the Eagles in their last game on Saturday, earning a 96-90 victory in Clarksville, Ark. The Green and Gold sunk a season-high 14 three-pointers in the win and shot a season-high 78.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Brandon Pressley and sophomore guard
Brent Webber each recorded a season-high in points, with Pressley pouring in 28 and Webber totaling 26. Pressley also grabbed 11 rebounds while Webber drained six three-pointers in 10 attempts.
Pressley currently leads the American Southwest Conference in field goal percentage (.648) and ranks second in rebounds per game (8.6).
The win over the Ozarks ended a 13-game winless streak for the Blazers. After the season-high in three-pointers made on Saturday, Belhaven now ranks third in the ASC in three-pointers made per game (9.1) while also ranking sixth in three-point field goal percentage (.353).
University of the Ozarks
The Ozarks (7-13, 1-11 ASC East) dropped an 87-56 decision to Texas Dallas on Monday after their loss to Belhaven on Saturday. The Eagles have lost six of its past seven games and are just 2-6 on the road this season.
Jace Richardson and Josh Berard combined for 60 points against the Blazers, scoring 31 and 29, respectively. Berard's 23.6 scoring average leads the ASC while Richardson ranks third with a 19.8 average.
The Ozarks are scoring the ball at an 86.4 per game clip, but allow a conference-high 92.0 points per game.
University of Texas at Dallas
Texas Dallas (7-13, 5-7 ASC East) will enter Saturday's matchup with the Blazers riding a four-game winning streak. The Comets picked up their first road win of the season with a defeat of the Ozarks on Monday, and now own a 1-7 away record.
Texas Dallas ranks fifth in the ASC in scoring defense (77.5), and have allowed just 59.5 points per game over the past four games. The Blazers managed just 63 points in a loss to the Comets on Jan. 26.
Freshman guard Dimitrius Underwood scored a season-high 24 points versus the Blazers, and is averaging 14.1 points over the past eight games on 55 percent shooting. Junior guard Caleb banks leads the ASC in assists per game (6.8) and is averaging a team-high 13.0 points per game.
