HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saturday afternoon came down to the wire between the Belhaven Blazers and the Berry College Vikings.Â
- The first half proved to be intense and competitive as the two teams traded leads back and forth multiple times in the first twenty minutes of play.
- After multiple lead changes, the green and gold closed the half strong and on a positive note, taking a four point advantage to the locker room by a score of 35-31.Â
- Isiah Brown led the charge for the Blazers in the first half, leading the team with eight points and shooting 2-4 from three point range.Â
-Â The second half was as equally competitive as the first half with Berry College fighting back to regain the lead 49-48 with 12:02 left to go in play. The two continued to trade leads all the way down to the final minute and seventeen seconds, as the scoreboard was knotted up at 69-69.
- Four consecutive free throws in the final minute would give Berry College a 73-69 lead. With 7 seconds left to go, Joshua Roberts would find Brent Webber for a three pointer to cut the lead to 73-72. Unfortunately, no time remained on the clock, giving the Vikings the one point victory.

- Isiah Brown finished the night 3-6 from behind the arc while leading the Blazers with 15 points.
- Brent Webber notched 13 points to go along with 3 three pointers.
- Kyle Patterson Sr. and Joshua Roberts each tallied 8 points for Belhaven. Roberts four rebounds, three assists, and one blocked shot
- As a team, the Blazers finished with 24 points in the paint.
