HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belhaven started off tonight's game with a lot of momentum as the Blazers would take an early six point lead by a score of 16-10 with 12:41 in the first half.
- Four minutes later, the Blazers would extend their lead to 26-14 with a three pointer from Gian Van Heeringen.
- However, the Cowboys quickly erased the twelve point lead as they would go on a 15-3 run and tie the game at 29-29 with 3:30 left in the first half.
- With 00:52 left until half time, Hardin-Simmons took the lead off two free throws and would take a 38-36 lead into the break.
- HSU would come out in the second half and extend the lead to 40-36, but Belhaven would once again make a quick charge and regain the lead, 49-42, just three minutes into the second half.
- The next 15 minutes would see several lead changes as the Blazers found themselves behind 78-76 with 3:08 left in the game.
- A crucial technical foul by Hardin-Simmons sent Justin Jones to the free throw line to shoot two shots. Jones would sink both free throws to tie the game at 78-78.
- The technical foul would prove to be the game changer for the Blazers, as Belhaven would gain all the momentum in the final two minutes of play and pull off the 89-84 victory.

- Kyle Patterson Sr. had 14 total points, a team high 7 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.
- Brent Webber finished with 14 points, 1 assist, and a team high 4 three pointer's on the night.
- Victor Price added 14 points, 1 assist, and 2-3 from three point range.
- Justin Jones ended with 11 points, 2 assists, and 3-5 from three point range.
