HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening frame, the Wasps drained a 3-pointer and took a quick 3-0 lead.
- After a layup by
Kimberly Calhoun, the Blazers tied the game up 6-6, midway through the first quarter.
- Emory and Henry College would then go on a 6-0 run to bring the score to 12-6.
- The Blazers went on a 6-4 run to end the first quarter to make the score 16-12.
- Emory and Henry College came out firing on all cylinders, going on a 10-0 run to open the second quarter.
- The Green and Gold started to heat up and cut the lead to six points after a 3-pointer by
AaLiyaha Thornton.
- The Wasps went on a 4-0 run to close the half and
AaLiyaha Thornton drained a 3-pointer with one second left before halftime to make the score 31-24.
- The Wasps would come out of intermission on a 6-0 run before
Brittany Ford drilled one from behind the arc.
- E&H College would close the quarter on a 13-3 run to make the score 50-30.
- The Blazers out scored the wasps in the final frame 19-17 to make the final score 67-49.

KEY STATISTICS

AaLiyaha Thornton, who posted a team-high 11 points, led the Blazers offensively.

Lauren Brooks posted 10 points with four rebounds. Brooks shot 4-9 from the field.

Brittany Ford registered nine points and seven rebounds. She also collected one block in the contest.

Kelsey Brown finished the night with eight points, two rebounds, and one steal.

Cora Cooley and
India Sims collected four points and tallied a blocked shot in the game.
- As a team, the Blazers shot 50 percent from the free throw line on 4-8 attempts.
- The Green and Gold scored 16 points off of the bench and collected 20 second chance points.
