ABILENE, Texas - The Belhaven women's soccer team continued their road schedule through the state of Texas, this time facing the McMurry Warhawks on Saturday afternoon in Abilene, Texas.
The Blazers would fall to the Warhawks by a score of 6-1 on the night. Caley Gahagan would be the lone Blazer to score a goal on the night as she put the Blazers on the board in the 35th minute of play in the first half.
As a team, Belhaven would take 9 total shots with seven of the nine resulting in shots on goal, with just one finding the back of the net.
For Belhaven, Erica Rempel would tie with Jessica Mahoney for a team lead 3 shots on the night, with all three of Rempel's shots being on goal.
Dominique Farias and Kennedy Mount would each tally 1 shot and 1 shot on goal apiece. McMurry finished with 10 shots and 7 shots on goal as a team
With the loss, Belhaven fell to 2-9-1 overall and 1-6 in the American Southwest Conference.
The Lady Blazers (2-9-1) will return home to play Sul Ross State University (5-3-1) this coming Thursday at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium. The two teams with face off beginning at 7:00 p.m.
