HOW IT HAPPENED
- Louisiana College struck first with a touchdown and a 30-yard field goal to take a 9-0 lead.
- Wide receiver Kyky Austin put the Blazers on the board with a 30-yard pass reception from Hunter McEachern to make the score 9-7.
- Austin would put the Blazers on top with another 44-yard touchdown reception to give Belhaven the 14-9 edge with 14:50 to go in the second quarter
- After another LC touchdown, which gave them a 16-14 lead, Belhaven would rip off three more touchdowns with passes of 64 yards, 50 yards, and 12 yards.
- Quan Jones was on the receiving end of the 64 and 12-yard touchdown receptions from quarterback Hunter McEachern, while Kyky Austin had his third touchdown reception of the night with the 50-yard reception. Jones' 12-yard touchdown came with 1:38 left until halftime.
- All three touchdowns in a row would give the Blazers a comfortable 35-16 lead heading into half time.
- Belhaven would again have three straight scoring possessions with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Nolan Satcher, a 5-yard rushing touchdown by Hunter McEachern, and a 27-yard touchdown reception by Marquis Hedge. This would give them 57-23 lead with 5:19 left in the third quarter.
- Louisiana College would put up a few touchdown drives to make things interesting towards the end of the game, but another 5-yard rushing touchdown by running back Brad Foley would be too much for LC to overcome as the Belhaven Blazers would take a 63-46 victory on homecoming night.
- Hunter McEachern had a career game as he broke the single-game record for touchdown passes in a game with 7 touchdown passes.
- McEachern also broke the career school record for touchdown passes in a career with 54 touchdown passes.
