JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the UT-Tyler Patriots in American Southwest Conference play Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Patriots found the back of the net first in the 7^th minute when Leandro Fernandez connected with Lucas Pereira for the goal to give UT-Tyler a 1-0 advantage.

- In the 24^th minute, the Patriots extended their lead to 2-0 when Erik Macias knocked in a goal for UT-Tyler.

- The teams went into the intermission with UT Tyler leading 2-0.

- The rest of the match was played without a goal.

KEY STATISTICS

- The Patriots outshot the Blazers 11 to 5 in the match. Belhaven fired one shot in the first half and four shots in the second half.
