BELTON, Texas - The Belhaven women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday afternoon in Belton, Texas. 
The Blazers trailed the Crusaders by just a goal through the first 45 minutes of play, but Mary Hardin-Baylor scored three times in the first 20 minutes of the second half to take a 4-0 lead. 
Mary Hardin-Baylor (4-1-1) peppered the Belhaven (1-4) defense with 25 total shots and 18 shots on goal. 
Erika Smith recorded a career-high 13 saves in goal for the Blazers. 
Belhaven returns home for its next match, hosting Hardin-Simmons on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m.
