RICHARDSON, Texas - The Belhaven volleyball team was defeated by the hands of 11th-ranked Texas Dallas in straight sets, 0-3, Saturday afternoon at the UTD Activity Center.
Belhaven (5-6) totaled the same amount of attacks as Texas Dallas (8-1) with 124, but the Comets doubled up the Blazers on kills, 48-24, for the match.
Jackie Gunderson and
Annelle Anderson each totaled six kills for the Green and Gold.
Gunderson led in the digs category with 18, while
Abbey Herman added 17 digs for the Blazers.
Kelly Aholt collected 17 assists in the contest.
Michelle Toro led the Comets with 13 kills, while Abbie Barth collected 15 digs.
Belhaven returns home for a non-conference matchup against William Carey on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The match inside Rugg Arena is slated for 7 p.m.
