JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven Men's Tennis team defeated Millsaps 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon on the campus of Millsaps College.
 
Belhaven's (2-1) first two points against the Majors (0-1) came in doubles play. Omar Lopez and Tomas Ojeda handled Emerson Brundick and Cooper Cearley 8-2.
 
The duo of Rafael Siqueira and Pawel Tarasewicz earned the second point, defeating Cameron Doles and Avinash Ananth 8-4.
 
In singles, Ojeda's match with Alex Centurion would be forced to three sets. After Centurion won the first set 5-7, Ojeda would take the second and third sets 6-3 and 11-9, respectively to earn the third point for the Green and Gold.
 
Rafael Siqueira defeated Diego Marti-Vertiz 6-3, 6-4 for Belhaven's fourth point.
 
Lopez defeated Ananth 6-3, 6-0, while Tarasewicz topped Doles 6-4, 6-2 for Belhaven's final two points.
 
Coming up, the Blazers will make their home opener on Saturday against Centenary to start a five-match homestand. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
