JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Men's Basketball team fell on senior night, losing 78-85 to LeTourneau University in the final home contest for 2015-16. 
Three seniors were recognized before the game and all three led the Blazers in a strong performance Saturday evening. 
De'la Mayers led the way for the Blazers, going 12-of-17 from the field with 27 points. Mayers also had eight rebounds in the game and added an assist and a block. 
Josh Gaskin was second to Mayers with 18 points in the contest. Gaskin was second on the team with five rebounds in the game and added three assists and a team-high two steals. 
The third and final senior was 
Josh Carpenter, who was also the third and final Blazer in double figures, finishing with 14 points. Carpenter led the team with four assists and had a steal and a rebound in the game. 
Belhaven outshot LeTourneau, 59 percent to 46 percent in the contest, but the Blazers were outrebounded 35-28, including giving up 13 offensive rebounds to the YellowJackets, which led to 16 second chance points. 
The Blazers will wrap up their 2015-16 season on the road for the final two games. The first contest comes against East Texas Baptist on Thursday. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. against the Tigers in Marshall.
