JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven women's soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to the University of Texas at Dallas Thursday evening inside Belhaven Bowl Stadium.
Melissa Fulfer put the Comets on the board in the 11th minute, scoring on a penalty kick. Sofia Quezada gave Texas Dallas a 2-0 lead in the 31st minute, finding the back of the net off of a corner kick.
Millie Atkins scored the final Texas Dallas goal in the 77th minute.
The Comets totaled 20 shots with 10 being on goal while the Blazers fired two shots.
Jessica Mahoney and
Rachyl Sutton each fired a shot on goal for Belhaven.
Alexis McDonald collected seven saves in goal for the Green and Gold.
Belhaven drops to 5-11 with the loss while Texas Dallas improves to 10-6-1.
Next up, the Blazers host Howard Payne University on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the team's final game of the regular season. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
