MARSHALL, Texas - The Belhaven volleyball team ended its second American Southwest Conference (ASC) schedule with a 3-0 loss to East Texas Baptist on Saturday afternoon from the Ornelas Gym.
The Blazers (9-16) continued to show positive attacks on the front line, only committing 16 total errors, but the Tigers (8-11) out-attacked the Blazers with 44 kills to Belhaven's 37.
Jackie Gunderson missed a double-double by one kill, totaling nine kills and 13 digs.
Annelle Anderson blocked on two attacks and assisted on three others for the Green and Gold, while adding seven kills.
Abbey Herman also notched 14 digs for the Blazers.
Blaykleigh Smythe added seven kills and totaled three blocks, while
Kelly Aholt totaled three blocks and collected 33 assists.
Madison Riley led ETBU with 14 kills, while Mallory Sanders also had a double-digit number in kills with 11.
Belhaven will next wrap up its home schedule on Tuesday against Millsaps. For the price of admission, fans can bring one canned good to support We Will Go ministries. First serve inside Rugg Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m.
