JACKSON, Miss. -The Blazers are joined by Piedmont College (1-0), Sewanee: The University of the South (0-1), Talladega College (0-1), and Huntingdon College (0-0) in this season's Huntingdon Invitational, which is being held in Montgomery, AL., September 4th and 5th.
 
Belhaven is coming off of a 0-3 loss to Rhodes in the opening game of the season. The ladies square up against Sewanee: The University of the South in Friday's double -header at 12 PM in search of win number 1.
 
The Blazers are 2-0 all-time against Sewanee, both games ending in 3-0 sweeps.
 
Against Piedmont College, Belhaven has a split record at 1-1.
 
Versus the Huntingdon Hawks, the Blazers are dominant in the series at 7-5.  They are currently on a three- match win streak.  In their most recent meeting, the Blazers swept the Hawks 3-0.
 
The Blazers have an impressive win streak going against the Talladega Tornadoes at 5-0.
 
Senior Chae Levy leads the team so far with eight kills, hitting .375. Other stat leaders include Kelly Aholt with 14 assists, and Cassidy Fitzpatrick ringing in 19 digs.
 
Up next for the Blazers is the annual Belhaven/ Millsaps Invitational, hosted by Millsaps College on September 11th and 12th. The squad will face off against Rhodes once more at 5PM, and Dillard at 7PM. On Saturday, the Blazers take on Philander Smith at 11AM, and then Millsaps at 5PM.
