JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven men's soccer team falls to the Millsaps Majors, 3-2 on Wednesday night at the Belhaven Bowl.
The Blazers (5-3-1) fell behind 2-0 at halftime for the second consecutive time at home, but were unable to come-from-behind to beat Millsaps (7-2).
Belhaven was able to tie the match up in a 2:09 span from the 54th minute to the 57th minute. Freshman midfielder
John Dunbar got the Blazers on the board with his second goal of the season in the 54th minute off an assist by senior midfielder
Cillian Thompson. Over two minutes later, Thompson would tie the match at two with his third goal of the 2015 campaign off an assist by
John Ledbetter.
Almost five minutes later, in the 61st minute, the Majors would break the tie and would hold on to beat the Blazers.
Coming up, the Blazers will have the weekend off to prepare for Talladega College. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 at 7 p.m. at the Bowl.
