ABILENE, Texas – The Belhaven Men's Soccer team could not bounce back from a 78th minute goal by Hardin-Simmons, as the Blazers fell 1-0 to the Cowboys on Saturday night at the HSU Soccer Complex.
 
With Saturday's loss, the Blazers end a seven-match regular season winning streak away from the Belhaven Bowl. The Blazers' last loss came October 9, 2014 against Bethel University. The Blazers fall to 35-11-2 since the start of the 2012 season in road and neutral games away from Jackson.
 
Belhaven (5-2-1) took 24 shots in the match, 14 of those shots were on goal, but were unable to put the ball through the net for 90 minutes.
 
Even though the Blazers gave up the go-ahead goal, the defense allowed six shots, while junior goalkeeper Logan Tassin saved five shots.
 
Belhaven returns home on Wednesday, September 30 to battle with rival Millsaps. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Belhaven Bowl.
