JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven Volleyball team welcomes in Riverside Drive Rival Millsaps College Tuesday night for a single match between the Blazers and Majors. The match is set for a 7 p.m. first serve inside Rugg Arena.
This is the second meeting between the two programs this season. Belhaven dropped the tightly contested first match 1-3 inside the Hanger Dome at Millsaps, officially putting a close to the 2015 Belhaven/Millsaps Invitational.
The Blazers are 6-5 on the season and are coming off an 0-2 weekend with losses at East Texas Baptist, 0-3, on Friday and LeTourneau, 1-3, on Saturday. Millsaps is coming off of a 1-2 week with a pair of 0-3 losses at Birmingham-Southern and against Berry, while defeating Oglethorpe 3-0 in between the other two games.
Belhaven is under the direction of third year head coach
Justin Dee, who is 146-128 in his nine-year, collegiate-coaching career.
In the last 10 matches between Belhaven and Millsaps inside Rugg Arena, the Blazers are 6-4 over the Majors. However, the Blazers have dropped the last two matches (2010 and 2011), with the last win coming in a 3-0 win in 2009.
