JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven and Concordia Texas played 110 minutes, but were unable to break the scoreless tie at the Belhaven Bowl on Saturday afternoon.
The Blazers (0-4-1) outshot the Tornados (1-4-1) 16-13, including 10-3 in the first half, but were unable to notch the go-ahead goal. The Tornadoes held the Blazers in check from the second half on, only allowing six shots.
Each goalie had to make saves on six shots in the entire match.
Up next, the Blazers will return on the road with ASC opponents McMurry and Hardin-Simmons on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, respectively. Kickoff for both matches is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
