JACKSON, Miss. – The Blazers Volleyball team fell to LeTourneau University in their second ASC matchup of the season on Saturday.
Belhaven fell in the first two sets 25-27 and 22-25. They would rebound and go on to win set three 25-19, but then fell in the fourth 12-25.
"We served well, we had excellent opportunities, but did not execute the way we needed to execute offensively and defensively," said head coach
Justin Dee.
Sophomore
Kelly Aholt finished the match with 34 assists. She also recorded 5 aces for the Blazers.
Cassidy Fitzpatrick provided a defensive spark for the Blazers, collecting 24 digs. She also collected four assists against the YellowJackets.
Freshman
Lauren Whiting led the way in kills finishing the match with 11.
Annelle Anderson also contributed nine, while
Molly Boyer collected eight.
Sophomore
Allie Perkins contributed 13 digs, while
Abbey Herman collected 12 digs in the match.
Next up, the Blazers will face their Riverside Drive rival Millsaps College. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22, beginning at 7 p.m. inside Rugg Arena.
