JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Blazers Men's Tennis team defeated Millsaps College 7-2 on Tuesday in non-conference action.
 
Four Blazers picked up wins in both of their matches against the Majors. Jefferson Nino picked up a quick 6-0, 6-0 victory in No. 1 singles against Charles Rees.
 
Nino also paired with Omar Lopez for an 8-3 victory in doubles action over Avinash Ananth and Cameron Doles.
 
Lopez also had a win in singles action, winning No. 4 singles over Ananth 6-2, 7-5.
 
Daniel Duarte and Alex Puyol also had a pair of victories in the match. The duo combined for an 8-6 win over Rees and Rami Jamileh.
 
Duarte needed a third-set tiebreaker to defeat Diego Marti-Vertiz 6-4, (2-6), 10-5 in No. 2 singles action.
 
Puyol made quick work of Doles in the No. 6 singles match, winning 6-0, 6-1 over Doles.
 
Rafael Siqueira had the other victory for the Blazers in the match. Siqueira also needed a third-set tiebreaker after falling behind, defeating Sean Solomonoff (6-7), 6-1, 10-6.
 
Belhaven's next scheduled event is the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament on April 17, but the Blazers still have makeup dates in the works for Tougaloo College and Louisiana College. An updated date and time will be released at further notice on both matches.
