JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven Men's and Women's Tennis teams picked up a sweep of Louisiana College as both teams earned 9-0 victories at Parham Bridges.
Both teams didn't drop a point in the nine matches.
AnneMarie Kimball and
Stephanie Smith led the way for the women's team with an 8-0 victory in doubles play, before picking up 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles action over Kortney King and Angie Rios, respectively.
Rachel Jefcoat and
Mary Lichlyter also had a doubles victory of 8-0 before winning singles matches in straight sets over Kaitlyn Thibadeaux and Taylor Payne, respectively.
Brittany Keeling and
Ellen Scott won their doubles match 8-0 and then won their singles matches 8-0 after the match had already been decided.
On the men's side,
Daniel Prado and
Jefferson Nino led the way with an 8-0 win in doubles action and followed it up with 6-0, 6-0 wins over Andrew Sylvester and Gullermo Barbosa.
Rafael Siqueira and
Tomas Ojeda also picked up an 8-0 win in doubles play and followed it up with straight set wins in singles action.
Omar Lopez and Alex Puyol had an 8-0 doubles win and followed it up with singles match victories of 8-0 after the men's match had already been decided.
