MOBILE, Ala. – The Belhaven Men's Tennis team wrapped up the SSAC Roundup on Saturday with an 8-1 victory over Loyola University.
 
The Blazers swept through doubles play to begin the match. Thomas Ojeda and Rene Ramos teamed up for an 8-0 win over Eduardo Garcia and Emmanuel Benjamin, while Omar Lopez and Alexander Puyol paired up for an 8-2 victory over Federico Mercado and Ernesto de Diego.
 
Jefferson Nino and Laclan Puyol also won in doubles action, winning 8-5 over Ricardo Mercado and Anthony Zaleski.
 
In singles action, the Blazers cruised to five points. Nino picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Trivesh Singh in No. 1 Singles action.
 
Lopez and Alexander Puyol both cruised to 6-0, 6-0 victories in their respective matches against Mercado and Benjamin.
 
Ojeda won 6-1, 6-0 over Zaleski in singles action and Ramos rounded out the victories for Belhaven with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Garcia.
 
The Blazers will return to action on April 7 with a match against Riverside Drive rival Millsaps College.
