JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Women's Basketball team fell to Concordia-Texas 41-57 Saturday afternoon in the final ASC game of the fall semester for the Blazers.
 
The Blazers fell behind the Tornadoes early on, heading into the halftime break trailing 28-14.
 
Belhaven had a much stronger second half, but the Blazers were unable to reel in the visitors.
 
Candler Gregory led the Blazers in scoring for the fourth straight game. The junior was the only Blazer in double figures, finishing with 11 points and six rebounds.
 
Tamora Shelton had a breakout game on the boards Saturday, recording a career high 13 rebounds to go along with four points and a block.
 
Vamikka Smith narrowly missed a double-double in the contest, finishing with nine points and nine rebounds. Smith also had two blocks and three steals.
 
Belhaven shot just 22.8 percent from the field in the contest and were just 1-for-12 from three-point range.
 
The Blazers were also just 14-for-24 from the free-throw line.
 
Belhaven will return to action on Monday in the final home game of the fall semester when Centenary College comes to Rugg Arena for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
