JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Blazers fell to the Tornadoes of Concordia University-Texas 79-90 Saturday afternoon in the final ASC game of the fall semester for the Blazers.
 
The Blazers struggled in the first half with the Tornadoes' press and went into the break with a 11-point deficit.
 
Belhaven had a much stronger second half, but the Blazers were unable to reel in the visitors, as the matched the Tornadoes point-for-point.
 
Josh Gaskin led the Blazers as he recorded his third double-double of the year. Gaskin had 19 points and 10 rebounds in the game. He also recorded three blocks and two steals.
 
Josh Carpenter and De'La Mayers also finished in double figures, recording 12 and 11 points, respectively. They both also had a block.
 
Belhaven shot 48.9 percent from the field, compared to just 47.1 percent from the Tornadoes.
 
However, the Blazers had 32 turnovers to just 19 for Concordia-Texas. The Tornadoes turned the turnovers into 37 points, while Belhaven had just 15 points off turnovers.
 
Dyron Anderson and LaDarrius Drain had the top performances off the bench.  Anderson finished with nine points and three rebounds, while recording three steals and a block. Drain had seven points and four rebounds with a steal.
 
Belhaven will return to action on Wednesday with a trip to Shreveport, Louisiana to take on Centenary College. Tip is scheduled for 6 p.m.
