JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven Men's Basketball team makes the short trip up Riverside Drive to The Hanger Dome on Tuesday to renew its series with Millsaps College in the latest edition of the Riverside Rivalry.
Tuesday's game is the second straight on the road for Belhaven to begin the 2015-16 season.
The Blazers and Majors are quite familiar with each other throughout history, with the first documented meeting between the programs coming on January 7, 1963. The Blazers hold a 42-13 record over the Majors in known results.
The two schools have not met on the hardwood since 2009, an 84-69 win for Belhaven at Millsaps. The Blazers have won eight of the last nine meetings, dating back to 1987.
Millsaps is coming off of a 7-19 season in 2014-15, where the Majors were 0-12 away from home, but 7-7 at The Hanger Dome.
The Majors are 0-4 this season including a pair of losses at The Hanger Dome to start the year. Millsaps has lost its last three overall at home.
The Majors have been outscored by 12.75 points per game this season.
The match is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on the Blazers Sports Network.
