Box Score 2 JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven University Volleyball team picked up a pair of wins on Saturday in dominant fashion, sweeping Schriner University and Mississippi College with a pair of 3-0 wins.

In the first match of the day, the Blazers (5-3) defeated Schreiner. Sets one and three were tightly contested, but the Blazers were victorious in both, winning 25-20, and 25-22 respectively. The Blazers did not allow double figures in set two, as they topped the Mountaineers 25-9.

Juniors,
Chae Levy and
Taylor Hall led the Blazers in kills with seven each.

In match two, the Blazers shutout crosstown rival, Mississippi College by scores of 25-21, 25-15, and 25-21. Coming into the match, the Choctaws were unbeaten, and had only given up three sets in four matches.

"The girls played lights out today," said head coach
Justin Dee. "They played above and beyond anything I could ask of them. We dominated the net, and won the matches on defense."

Cherry, a freshman, was one of the leaders in kills with five. Hall was tops for the Blazers, and the junior was also one of only two players on the court with double figure kills (10).

The Blazers will travel to Lorman, Mississippi to take on Alcorn State. The match is set to begin at 7pm.
