Senior Katy Adair received the start in the circle for the Blazers, lasting five innings before turning it over to the bullpen. Adair allowed five runs on six hits while striking out six and walking just one.

Fellow senior Ginger Lonergan threw the final two innings, allowing just one run on two hits. Victoria Decker served as the pitcher of record for the Tigers, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing three runs on six Blazer hits.

Belhaven's offense was highlighted by Haley Yasses' 2-3 effort at the plate, as she recorded the lone RBI for the team. Six of her teammates recorded hits on the afternoon, but the Blazers were unable to avoid their second loss of the year.

"We just have to find a way to come out of the gate faster," Head Coach Kevin Griffin said. "We can't wait until the late innings for our bats to wake up."

Erin Benton and Sara Paragon recorded a pair of base hits apiece for the Tigers, while they combined for four of the team's five RBI.

Belhaven was scheduled to play Lindsey Wilson College following the Campbellsville game, but bad weather in the area forced the game to an early end. The Blazers were clinging to a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the sixth when the game was called. That game will resume at 12:30 Friday afternoon.

Upon the conclusion of that game, the Blazers are scheduled to see William Woods University at 2:00 PM and Tennessee Wesleyan College at 4:00 PM.
